Following these basic principles should help to increase your website traffic and search engine rankings.
- Ensure that your website contains valuable content, products and/or services.
- Perform keyword research so that you can use the right keywords/phrases to attract your target customers.
- Place primary and secondary keywords within the first couple of paragraphs in your page content and spread them evenly throughout the article.
- Use your keywords in the right fields and references within your web page. For example, Title, META tags, Headers, etc.
- Keep your site design simple so that your customers can navigate easily between web pages, find what they want and buy products/services. A site that is difficult to navigate will only lead to visitors leaving your site.
- Submit your each of your web to the most popular search engines and directory services. This type of task could be outsourced.
- Use online tools and utilities to keep track of changes in search engine algorithms and processes and accordingly modify your web pages so your search engine ranking remains high.
- Monitor your competitors and the top ranked websites within your niche to see what they are doing right in the way of design, navigation, content, keywords, backlinks etc.
- Use newsletters, free reports, coupons etc to provide your site visitors plenty of ways to remember you so that they return time and time again.
- When selling products / services online, use simple payment and shipment methods to make your customer’s experience fast, easy and stress free.

Due to Yahoo Answers having a user base of around 90 million, when used properly this site can generate tons of visitors to your blog within hours. As with article marketing, your one time effort can produce traffic to your blog for months to come.
First you need to sign up by creating an account at http://answers.yahoo.com. This is a similar sign up to most membership sites, which allows you to complete your profile after you have completed the sign up process. If you have a Yahoo Account then you can just sign in immediately.
Once you are signed in, go to the Yahoo Answers home page and near the top of the page you should see 3 choices;
- Ask – Fairly self-explanatory. This is where you can publish your own question.
- Answer – This is where you can share your knowledge to help others
- Discover – This is where you can look for the best answers to resolved questions.
